OAU Students Union Pays School Fees For 85 Students
The Obafemi Awolowo University student’s union has again set the pace for others to follow as they announce the completion of payment of school fees for indigent students. These students were supported under the student’s union scholarship scheme program of which about 85 of them benefitted from.
The Public Relations Officer of the union, comrade Ojedokun Emmanuel Kant who confirmed this on his facebook wall also said that this was a crown to their promise at the pre-electioneering and electioneering period.
He also stated that students welfare would not be sacrificed for a stable academic calendar and called for the immediate renovation of the hostels to stop the animalistic lifestyle lived by some of their students.
Also, the Vice President of the TY-led administration has been said to be working on an on-going tutorial mostly for part one students to address mass failure and offer academic welfarism.
